Dataset 1 (national-level totals 1990 – 2025)
This dataset offers the following electoral data for presidential and parliamentary elections in Montenegro since 1990 on national-level: election year, party/coalition information – even for micro parties (if applicable for particular election), votes won, seats won, seats total, seats percentage, candidate information for presidential elections, votes won by each presidential candidate in each round, total size of the electorate, votes cast, votes valid and the source of data.
Dataset 2 (results per municipality and constituency 1990 – 2025)
Given that Dataset 1 contains national-level totals, this dataset presents data at the lower level: constituency (1990 and 1996 elections) and municipality (1992, 1998, 2001, 2002, 2006, 2009, 2012, 2016, 2020 and 2023 elections).
Data for special polling stations within the “minority sub-constituency” (as termed by OSCE in 2001 election report) system that existed during the 1998-2009 period are available both within this dataset (located in separate files) and within the booklet on electoral maps.
Dataset 3 (local elections 1990 – 2025)
Dataset 3 contains data for local elections in Montenegro, both for the election of councilors (from 1990 up to date) and the presidents of municipalities/Mayor of Podgorica (2004-2009).
Dataset 4 (federal elections 1992 – 2002)
Dataset 4 presents results for the federal elections held during the time of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (1992-2002). These elections include: May 1992 elections for the election of MPs in the federal Chamber of Citizens, December 1992 elections for the election of MPs in the federal Chamber of Citizens; November 1996 elections for the election of MPs in the federal Chamber of Citizens, September 2000 elections for the election of MPs in the federal Chamber of Citizens and the Chamber of the Republics, and September 2000 elections for the Federal President.
